"What a wonderful walk down Memory Lane this chapter is, Amy, a real tribute to the creativity of our square makers. It must have taken you ages to pull this chapter together, but it was worth every minute you spent, so a huge THANK YOU."
"Always nice to be thinking ahead Roz!
Would you experiment with adding a few stitches each side and a few extra rows to the top and bottom of the pattern to bring the squares up to 20 cm. This is what other contributors have done when faced…"
Attached is the form we use for USA students. In the past we found it too difficult for students to post details and get them signed in South Africa - often it is not possible to do in a timely fashion. We suggest you photograph the…"
"Hi there ... I am busy planning the "I do like to be beside the seaside" squares and want to know IF I can knit all 35 of the squares 15 x 15 cms? I've purchased some motif patterns and they're only 15 x 15cms. Please…"
"Isabelle that is a wonderful idea to use knitting for KAS as your volunteer hours. Thank you, and your friend, so much for your squares. I hope someone can help you with your question about logging your hours."
I love knitting and think your organization is amazing. I have just signed up and my friend and I have knitted 30 squares! I will send the squares in when we get to 35, but in the meantime I wonder if I could also check is there is a contact…"
"Thanks for replying so quickly and sorry to hear about your problems with the website. Glad you received a parcel in May. I think we have sent another three since then and hope they arrive soon. Thanks too to everyone involved with Kascare for all…"
Thank you for the reply. It was mentioned that the newborns many times are wrapped in newspaper to be sent home. That just breaks my heart. I thought that I might include some items from the thrift store. Just…"
I Hope this finds you doing well and enjoying those long days fill with lots of sun. I was wondering if you would consider being featured in Meet the KAS Family? It can be you and/or your church group. If you are interested, please just shoot me an email and I will send you some general questions to answer.
I currently have questions out to three other groups, but am not having much luck in getting information back. Time to move forward with other people and groups.
I am in and out of internet contact the next couple of days while traveling, but will be checking my email nightly.
Hello Anne, thanks for your message (I wasn't able to send a reply!) re posting photos into discussions - I am using an iPad, so as you say, the usual method won't work for me. At some point I will get to my computer and add my squares to the relevant challenge, so thanks for doing it thus far!
Hi Anne dear. The Pinterst site is stunning, stunning, stunning but I am wondering if you can keep more KAS photos in that top row. e.g. that gorgeous shot of the two children wrapped in love with the words on top '1.9 million etc'. If that could stay at the top it wold be good. You are getting visits to the www site to it is working really well. It is full of stunning photos. Great job. It looks as though anyone can put a photo there I will have a go.
Thanks Anne, Have to say it felt strange knitting a thick woolly jumper when the temperature here was in the late 20's but it is rewarding that a youngster will be cozy & warm in the South African winters:)
Sorry I have taken so long to answer had a family emergency this weekend, hopefully it is now resolved. Anyway, in answer to my small squares, yes, your grandson is only 15 minutes away and would be a great way to send them your way and thank you for your very kind thoughts, however, when talking to one of my Mother's senior neighbors I mentioned what I was doing and she volunteered to sew my squares together and also maybe would like to take part in making squares for Kas.........be nice to have a new recruit.........so thanks again for your help. Nola
