"Added "5 blankets a month" worth. You are "my" cause. Because shipping from the US is so costly, I thought I could be more useful sending money. Donating my physical objects closer to home. Hugs to you all for your amazing work."
Ronda has expressed the need for a newer vehicle to transport squares and blankets. Helen Flagg has proposed to the US Group that we raise funds to help KAS purchase a car. The idea has gone global and there is an initiative on the forum about it. Check the latest ezine video at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VK9mbUrGWI&feature=youtu.be
Hi there, Carol...............glad to be a friend.
Regarding answering the U.S. postings..........you can click on "Groups" at the top of the page and join the U.S. group and post whenever you would like. We all welcome your comments and hope you will decide to donate to sponsoring a creche later on this year.
Hi Carole, just wanted to personally welcome you to the KAS site, although I know we have already had several conversations. Lovely to have such an active new member and look forward to more chats in the future. Sandy
Carol, I have 2 machines and I just could never get the hang of them...I want to sell them but I know I will never get out of them what my hubby paid for them...one of them is a knit king, the other a studio, I believe...I had so much trouble, I finally just put them in the corner of my sewing room...what kind do you have? do you do hats on them too...I did a few sweaters, but my nerves were to the end...thanks for writing back...I will add you as a friend, if that is ok...how did you come across the site...
Hi Carol, Welcome. I just mail by own packages, but if you get a group together to knit and crochet you can send them together. I live 1 hour north of Chicago. My daughter lives in Chicago so I am there quite often.
Carol..it is so great that you found the KAS site...we have so much fun here...not only sending the squares and stocking hats but the conversatio back and forth is such fun..I look forward to it every day...I was in your great city a year ago....what a town that is...I have a nephew there that we visited...I hope you will enjoy the site..do you knit or crochet? gayle
KAS supplied blankets, hats, handwarmers and toys to over 5,500 children in 2017. If Ronda’s wishes come true, in 2018 even more children will receive the gift of warmth and love from around the world.
