I've read that KAS has volunteers from about 40 countries, I'm just wondering what are these countries? It would be nice to know how far we've spread.

I'm thinking of trying a Go-over, but I can only do it in red and the mourning color in SA is red. Is that okay?

Dawson said… Thanks everyone! I have to apologize because I haven't been on here for a while (I just found out today that I got the Square Heart). I'm over elated, but bad at the same time because the square heart recipient himself hasn't been on the site for a long time! :( In my defense, I've been busy with school and also helping out Zooniverse and the World Archives Project, but still... (Oh, and about our Knit-A-Square Club at school, we have about 3-4 regular members (not counting me) with a couple of people here and there popping in every now and then.) Thanks everyone for the nice comments. :)
Andrea Palmatier said… Hi Dawson! I was wondering if you're still looking for yarn. I didn't make it to the US at Christmas but have a trip schedule for January 20. If you're still interested, please message me your address and I'll send it off when I "cross over".
Andrea :o)
Bev Jeffery said… Congratulations on receiving the Square Heart...a worthy recipient indeed.... your commitment to helping others is simply wonderful and inspirational. xx
Congratulations on receiving the Square Heart!
Hi Dawson,
Thanks for all the time you spent on your reply. It's so refreshing to hear a young person with such ambition.
I did have problems with leaving comments for people however I now go to the members sight and use the search to find the person I'm looking for, this then enables me to leave a comment.
Hope you can follow that, if not just let me know.
Happy days, Barbara x
HI Dawson,
Well done on your exam results, they look very impressive. Love your squares by the way and so many patterns, excellent.
Happy days, Barbara x

Rachel A. said… I'll leave this as a comment for you here, in case you don't look at the picture again =): Most of the wool yarn came from sweaters that I, or my husband, took apart. I wrote my tips here: http://square-circle-forum.ning.com/forum/topics/cheap-wool-and-cotton-yarn I have decided, since I wrote that, not to use the cotton yarn for KAS since it absorbs so much water. But it is still a great way to get wool yarn! It sounds like a lot of work to take the sweaters apart, but it gets to be rather addicting, as my husband found out when he did some for me =).
