Thank you so much! I have been crocheting for KAS about a year now, but this is the first I've gotten involved in the Forum. I thought it would be a good way to see what others are doing and have a connection to a bigger group. I'm in a rural area and don't really have connections with other crocheters ;o) This is a nice way to connect!
Debbie-I teach at The Philadelphia School. I have first and second graders. Many of them knit. All of them do some kind of handwork.
Hi Debbie
I'd be happy to go to or host a get-together for KAS knitters in Philly. I live in Center City. I am a teacher and my partner and I are getting the school involved. There is a lot of interest so far.
Debbie thank you for the welcome. I am very excited. Can you tell me where I can go to get answers to my questions. Such as: Can you use any size of needle. I have just started knitting.
Thanks
Debbie-thank you for the greeting. I alive in center city Philadelphia, near the art museum. I'd be happy to get together with other KAS knitters.
Thank you so much! I am already thinking of others who might be happy to help out :) Amy
Debbie, Thank you for the welcome. This is such a wonderful charity. Can't wait to send my first squares. Happy New Year with lots of sharing and giving! Susan
Thanks for the welcome, Debbie. I was glad to hear from someone close. I'm a crocheter; not a knitter and have finally figured out the stitches and rows to do an 8 inch square and have also adapted a knit vest pattern to crochet. Have finished a few squares and vests and will need to mail them soon. This is the first time I will be mailing anything to Africa and am a little unsure about the whole process. Oh well, I guess I'll find out soon, huh? Thanks again for the welcome, Debbie and Happy New Year!
