Good for you to go back to school...brave lady! I, too, am a teacher. I have an M.Ed in Special Ed and have had my own tutoring practice for many years. Check out the link to KAS Heroes on the Main Page (scroll down, down, down on the left side and look for "Heroes." Then look for my name and you'll see an article about a children's knitting group I started several years ago at the school where I tutor. Amazing how kids take up the cause!
Hi Denise and a very warm welcome to KAS from Norfolk UK. We are a very friendly bunch so please feel free to ask any questions, there is always somebody with an answer, as I have found out!
Do take a look around the site using the tabs at the top of the page. The photo section has some wonderful pics of peoples work and when you feel ready it would be great to see some of your work but it isn’t a necessity to do this. It’s a great place for ideas and inspiration to keep the children warm. Happy knitting/crocheting :)
KAS supplied blankets, hats, handwarmers and toys to over 5,500 children in 2017. If Ronda’s wishes come true, in 2018 even more children will receive the gift of warmth and love from around the world.
