Vickie Koelling said… Thanks, Gitta. I've made a total of 97 squares and think I will take a break to work on some chemo caps for a while. They take about the same amount of time and the same amount of yarn. When I was on a mission trip to Maua, Kenya, last summer, I met a woman there who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. She's had a mastectomy and will have her third chemo treatment next week (out of a total of 6 treatments). I will send some crocheted chemo caps to her, as well as distribute some of them to local hospitals here in Austin, Texas.

We will be knitting squares for blankets at this stage, so hope to make a small contribution to some needy kids.
Thank you for the welcome. I look forward to contributing to impact the lives of some beautiful kids. I just learned to crochet in November.
