"Welcome Jean.  Great to have you with us.  I am certainly not put off because you live so far away. I am in Vancouver but am originally from South Shields.  Been over here 12 yrs but still visit as often as I can. "

Hi Joan, lovely to hear from you. I have relatives in the area you came from I think. Newcastle is not far or is my geography all adrift.  I have never been to Vancouver but I was told on my last visit to Canada that it is a beautiful place. Hopefully I will include it in my next trip. I take it you do not miss the UK. My son emigrated 6 years ago and seems to really enjoy the change of pace. Keep in touch. Jean

Hi Joan,

If you enjoy blankets and baby clothes then the squares are the perfect thing !  I too learned to crochet/knit as a child but prefer crocheting.   I'm left-handed and find it easier to use a crochet hook than needles....besides it's much easier to fix mistakes :-)

You will certainly be busy if you are in Kindergarten.  I taught Junior/Senior Kindergarten for 33 years. I took early retirement when the province offered it. I really enjoyed teaching but I'm enjoying retirement just as much....now I have time to play .
