"Wow...this is spectacular...I love cables...as long as they are knitted by someone else!! The rows of broken garter stitch just make it all the more special, Karen."

"These rib variations make great squares as they are textured and I like the fact that they look neat on both sides.  I use similar patterns often as they knit up quickly. Yours is lovely and bright."

Love your squares Karen, and how clever/patient you are.  Welcome to KAS - it is addictive in every good way possible.  I love it, (along with my neighbours) and find the forum so motivating and encouraging.  Seeing all the pictures of others work is so inspirational - I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

And as for 'Hello Kitty' - I admit to maybe a little squeal of delight when I saw her! x

Welcome to KAS, Karen from across the Pond in the middle of Canada.  I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too.  Do check out the New Member Guide which is found by clicking "Main Page" in the header above.  To reach the Discussions just click Forum above and if you click on Photos above, you will see items that are heading to Africa, in all colors and shapes, plus those that have arrived there. If you click on Groups, above, you can join the friendly UK group or any groups you wish, to chat with.  Any questions just PM me. :)  So, welcome to Knit A Square! Blankets and hats and sweaters direct from our hands to their hearts, a win-win.  And now we’re helping out over in Zimbabwe too and they need everything over there.  I just love making a real difference in a child’s life.  So welcome aboard!

Hi Karen, Welcome to the KAS forum and I hope you will enjoy being part of this friendly & lively community. Do you knit or crochet or both? Around the world caring people are all taking direct action and team-working with the Ladies of the Soweto Comfort Club - it is making a difference to many parentless children.  When you've had a chance to look around the site you would be very welcome to join the UK group for more local news and chat.

You can also personalize your own page by clicking on the My Page tab on the menu.  Also you can access Settings on this page and set your privacy terms.  For questions click on the Forum tab and then KAS - Questions, Answers and Help.

Very glad your Facebook search directed to you our global knitting family!  Check out the New Member Guide by clicking the "Main Page" tab above. There you will find all kinds of information about KAS. Another great section to look over is the Photo tab - everyone is so supportive of the work on display.
