Attached is the knitting patten for small bears. It is not mine, I found it on the internet somewhere but have added a picture of my finished bears to give you an idea what they will look like! they…Continue

Karen Bennett said… Kathy - the pattern arrived yesterday, thanks again. I can't wait to get started. Have ordered some chunku wool and needles (I didn't have any large enough!). Wish me luck and will let you know how I get on. x
Kathy Knitworking must be another KASism !!!
Christine Johnson said… Thanks very much Kathy - it makes perfectly good sense and will save a lot of counting and guesswork. Just got a Grace vest to finish tonight and then I'll start. Why is it never possible to ignore new yarn? Although I have plenty that I could be making squares with I know I will use at least some of the new first. I suspect that I will make it all in one to save seaming which is how I usually do go-overs and slipovers if the wool is suitable. Got to work tonight but I'll manage a bit of knitting somehow.
Grace Weir said… Good to hear from you Kathy ... and glad you like the idea of using the Tesco vouchers...parcelled mine off yesterday ... got rid of my squares so must take up the needles and make some more.. but its a bit warm today for knitting and I have just come back from a walk on the coast!!
Christine Johnson said… Thanks for pattern information Kathy. I think I could just copy yours as I don't bother with pattenrs much anyway but someone on Facebook (I think it was Sharon Worthington who is a member of the forum) was admiring yours and saying that she was going to look for the pattern so you may hear from her. Love your yarn - I think I had some of that a while ago but didn't manage to use it as well as you and the effect was nowhere near as good.
Hi Kathy, Thank you for adding me as a friend and I hope I am replying on the right page - I'm worse at IT than knitting. I am an hour away from Loughborough. I love the garments and toys you've been knitting and if we ever meet you'll spend your time teaching :). I've concentrated on blankets as I only know basic crocheting, but have been so inspired by everyone's submissions to May's challenge that I'm venturing out into new things. xxx
Hi thanks for your comments about the go over. I love knitting them and designing different colour schemes. I have just found lots of bright yellow and blue fluffy wool and I am excited thinking up designs with it. Mind you I am still busy with squares aswell. I have only to think of the children and my needles start clicking! x

Kathy, your cats are too gorgeous! Like two fluffy balls of fur :)
Jan B said… It amazes me that some youngsters today, will pay a fortune to look like that, looking all chopped and chewed.
Certainly not at my age. Would definately look like "mutton dressed as lamb" or even worse !
