Profile Information

I've been a keen knitter for most of my life, starting as a reluctant ten-year-old in Housecraft class at school, then taking on all sorts of challenges in my early twenties, like cable-knit cushion covers and Kaeff Facet-designed garments. However, my gradual loss of sight through early-onset macular degeneration limited my access to patterns and I moved into knitting squares for charity in 2003. Finding KAS South Africa is thrilling for me as I've been actively looking for fellow knitters and a way to participate in something bigger than myself. I love what the organisation represents and applaud those who have made it what it is!

I notice that you are situated not far from the Knit A Square office. If you were interested in assisting Ronda and her wonderful team of volunteers or wanted to hand deliver your contribution, I know they would love to see you.
They are not open every day, but here is a contact phone number, if you wanted to arrange to drop off your contribution in person.   082 655 5150
