"Thanks you LeeanneI felt quite emotional about the little girl wanting to keep her blanket. I do hope she does keep it in the care home or she will be heartbroken. Thank you big time to Bongi for getting these gifts to the children."

Profile Information

I've been a keen knitter for most of my life, starting as a reluctant ten-year-old in Housecraft class at school, then taking on all sorts of challenges in my early twenties, like cable-knit cushion covers and Kaeff Facet-designed garments. However, my gradual loss of sight through early-onset macular degeneration limited my access to patterns and I moved into knitting squares for charity in 2003. Finding KAS South Africa is thrilling for me as I've been actively looking for fellow knitters and a way to participate in something bigger than myself. I love what the organisation represents and applaud those who have made it what it is!
