Hello friends... So sorry we haven't chatted for a while!  I had a bad fall about 6 weeks ago and, while nothing was broken (thank goodness), I injured my hip and my elbow quite badly.  I was attending a funeral and it had been raining and I slipped and fell.  I am SO much better now so am able to travel again and come to Knit-A-Square which is great... I have missed chatting to all of you and spending time opening packages every Thursday.  I am now working on a project with people living in a…See More

Hi Lindiwe,

Good to see you on today !   The names for the buses are wonderful.  You and Wandile are definitely a Sipho  ( if that's the correct use of the word )  to the children....and to us.

Dear Lindiwe:

Greetings from suburban Philadelphia in the USA!   I'm so far away from the needy children of Soweto and its surrounding communities; still, I want to help them.  The important work you and Wandi do for KAS and the children it serves makes it possible for all of us knitters/crocheters in the 44 countries with KAS members to connect with them.

It must be so difficult to go out into the poorest communities, without good roads or means of communication, and to witness such poverty!  Yet, wherever you go, you bring a message of hope and caring.  We are so grateful for all you do; thank you!

Lindi,
So great to see you here on the forum. I can only imagine how busy you must be with your work for the children on the ground. I hope that you find a little time now and again to kick back and enjoy the forum as the rest of us do.

Thank you for your tireless efforts on behalf of the children.

Hello Lindi!

Wonderful to see you guys both in the forum. I hope that you'll have time to play and get to know the wonderful people here. You and Wandi have SO much support and love coming at you from all around the world!

I hope to be back in SA at the end of the year to be able to open squares with you again. And maybe I'll even be able to visit your family house again for tea!

Much love to you x x x
