Mary Kristel I now really have to stop crochetting these booties and slippers, I get addicted to it! I bought new yarn for squares so now I will start making squares again :))
Thank you Mary Kristel. The background of the beanie is a shawl from Bolivia, it has such beautiful colours.
Thank you re: the hexagon Baby surprise sweater. I seem to remember this pattern and will look it up in our Central library reference section - might be in a book there. If not, when I have time to work on a more complex project, I will try your suggestion and see if I can just make it in knit. Thanks for the feedback.
Thank you Mary Kristel for the comment and encouragement on the vests. I'm new here and this was a first for me (knitting and posting a picture of it). Still finding my way around the site.
Hope you don't mind Mary, I've popped the whole hexagon sweater pattern over into the Patterns section with links and explanations and photos. I just thought it's such a basic good pattern it can be used for all sizes of tops for the little ones. :)
Perfect clear instructions - thankyou so much. We are going on holiday tomorrow for a week, so I will look forward to working on this when we get back! I really enjoy trying something different, and as I have never crocheted anything to wear (only square objects!) this is great for me.
Thankyou for being so inspiring x
Hello Mary
I couldn't resist, I just had to try your crocheted cardigan. I have done the hexagon shape no problem (although feels weird as I am so used to squares!) - can I ask what size you do each of your hexagons? I only ask as a rough guide as I know they can be made into any size, but I can't quite get my head to visualise the finished product! as a self taught crocheter, I can't follow a pattern!! Thanks for any help you can give.

Dear Mary Kristel, I feel very honoured to be invited as a friend by you. You are such an inspiration for me. I am sorry that I could not respond earlier, there were some "domestic hick-ups" here. You know how it goes in life, sometimes it is very quit and then suddeny all things happen at the same moment. Nonetheless I keep on crochetting, half a square or one square a day is possible. It makes me relaxed. Next time I will tell you a bit more about myself, who I am, what I did in my "business life" and what I do nowadays.
Again, thank you so much for your invitation, hope to speak to you soon.
Warm regards,
Anneke
Hi Mary Kristel! Thank you for the compliment. I am promoting your pattern, it is a great "invention". While crochetting along it looks as if you are here ;) and I am dreaming of making lots of these squares to keep the children warm. xx Anneke
