"Thank you, Diana and all you Kasisters, for your concern. Our house did not flood so we are home, safe and snug. We did leave the house for a week, just in case, and spent a happy week with our daughter, her husband, and their three…"
"As far as getting what we've envisioned sewed together as we envisioned it, Kathy and I lay the squares out and then tie it together with little string ties. It's a lot easier to find one's own squares when they are tied into a…"
"Thinking of you Texas!! We hope all our Kasisters, families and friends are well, in particular, Helen Flagg who lives near the coast. Huracan Harvey has done lots of damage already on its path. Amy is OK for now, she said. …"
"Laurie, we have had the same situation at our church. As far as I can tell, they do try to put the squares together that go together. Do you lay them out and take a photo and include it with the squares? Doing that is very helpful…"
"Finally found a picture of my crayon squares in the blanket room 2017photos! Fun. I usually can't find any of mine. I'd like to know when I send a picture of my suggestion on how to put my squares together, if the ladies go with my…"
"I am "hearing" you, ladies, that the postal costs have escalated in the U.S. so much that sending squares on a consistent basis is now difficult. However, several of you have indicated you would like to contribute to KAS when you can…"
"Thanks so much, Mary Anne, for your donation. Ronda has determined that she needs at least $2600 per month (which includes rent of $1300) to run KAS. The donations have just not been coming in. I think we are all going to have to…"
I wanted to let you know that, immediately after seeing your post yesterday, I sent Ronda a large donation. I am also going to increase the monthly amount that I donate. As Debbie mentioned, the cost of sending squares has…"
You all are so sweet to think of me and to also wish me well with my studies. I will be coming back full force when I am finished. I still have until Aug. 14th and with 2 small kids, homeschooling, summer, and visiting family along with classwork, I had to pull myself from the forum a bit. I used to be a very regular visitor since the Winter, but... once things are finished, I plan to be not only crocheting and knitting more, but getting back to you all in a timely matter. I am here and am online since my classes are online, but it is very time consuming and I stay up working, but try to get as much sleep as possible to keep on trucking along. You all are a blessing not only to me, but also KAS. Keep up the great work. Blessings,
Michelle.....my name is gayle...and I am from Washington State...way up by the Canadian border...I found KAS a few months back and have sent several bags and boxes to them...can I join your United States group? I think this is so much fun helping all these little children....will be waiting to hear from you, gayle
Hi, Michelle! Thanks for the welcome! I notice you are in Virginia.
Although I married a Texan decades ago and live in Houston, I am a native
Virginian. Graduated from Mr. Jefferson's University in Charlottesville,
where I grew up. Best of luck on your grad work. I know you will be
so relieved when it is finished!!
