That's a special story Pam - what a kind thing to do and I'm sure Becca knows how much care you took to let her do her exams but still share later in the funeral.

Hope you won't mind me sharing a personal experience of goodness and caring.   Last week I felt able to collect our dear Mum's ashes from the Funeral Director, and it brought back all the kindness and caring we received after she died…

Those hats sound just fantastic - do post some pics when you can.  Hope knee not too painful - between bouts of physical therapy give it a good rest as an excuse to do more knitting! :-)

Absolutely Maggie - I know that for me being part of KAS is a weapon against all the bad things that go on - and a positive action.

I know something good that happens every day.   There are hundreds of people all over the world busy making items for the kas orphans.  That,s not just good it is wonderful.

Very lovely Mary, and if mixed with other more solid squares will add a dash of glamour with the pretty lace effect.

Merry Christmas, Pam, I am delighted to be your friend!Thank you for the kind xmas wishes.I hope your Christmas has been peaceful, interrupted only by the gentle sound of clicking needles! Mine has been busy as expected, but we did manage a lovely dinner at about 1am today (and finished my grandson's red and green stegosaurus!) despite several less than festive bells ringing! ;) Christmas  for me will start about 4pm tomorrow when my daughter arrives home for a few days:) :)

Glad you have managed the slipper pattern Pam. I went to my local little shop and bought the lovely spotted buttons from her then she asked what I was doing then produced a box of mixed buttons that had come off cards or were the end of line and said just take some out of there for nothing if you can get two the same. Luckily I found 6x2 lots of large buttons that were suitable for other pairs. I love the spotty buttons though so will buy some more from her next week for other pairs of slippers.

P.S.

The petals are secured on top of the background to give the 3-D effect. L

Hi Pam, thanks for your comment about the blanket.

The flowers are part of the square. The petals are attached by crocheting in the front loop of the last round.  To add the background, you work in the back loop of the same round.  I flop all the petals together so I can see the back loops.   It's a fairly easy pattern once you figure out where the petals go.  If you are making the pattern and run into any problems/questions I am happy to help.

Delighted to be your friend. Enjoyed the challenge of using up a strane mix of someone elses yarns. I really hope you liked the oranges and lemons one. I was always thinking of you when I made it.
