"Hello Helen - I've just made a donation for the rental space. Just saw the need here - my email is full of spam so I need to create a new account and then see things in a more timely manner! I'm so glad Rhonda found a rental space - it…"
"I had posted this under the In Memorium thread two years ago, and it's the one I make the most - the crochet is faster for me than knitting!
My father's mother was known as Gramma Cookie, and she passed away about 14 years ago. She…"
"Please visit the Photo tab on the Forum when you have a moment. We have posted lots of photos from a distribution to Kathorus Orphange in Thakoza (SA) - you may even spot a square, hat or two that you created!"
Hi Rona, I notice you're a member of the schools group on the forum, and I was wondering if you could share some wisdom! How have you implemented a KAS program in your school? Hope tp hear from you soon!
Rona...thank you! Share away! Sorry for the trouble! I am not a great knitting problem solver - so I am a bit nervous that way. I will get the teaching guide when I can figure out how to print it...we don't use a printer really. I 'll probably take it to a printing place after I download it. Ideas to help start the girls would be so appreciated!
I have downloaded the patterns...should they all start with size 8 needles?
Do you have a photo of your Garterlac square. (Is that what you called it? Entrelac with all knit stitches.) I'm thinking that is probably faster than what I'm doing, entrelac in stocking stitch, and more reversible. I'm having fun with this technique but in the future may do it all garter stitch.
I am new to the KAS community, and am wantint to get a homeschool group going this fall with my daughter helping to organise her friends. All 9-11 year olds, some knit, some don't. I am looking for good ideas and advice about hosting such a group at our home. Another member that said I might as you!
How big do you think the group should be? Kindly, Misty in OR.
KAS supplied blankets, hats, handwarmers and toys to over 5,500 children in 2017. If Ronda’s wishes come true, in 2018 even more children will receive the gift of warmth and love from around the world.
