HelloI came across your website at the beginning of January when I was looking for a charity to knit for. My heart was so taken by the fact that my knitting would help so many unfortunate children so I have started knitting squares, hand warmers and hats which I will send to you when I have enough. I have also gradually been looking through the pages on your website. The reason I am writing is that I have some skills which could be useful to you. I understand that you may be able to secure…See More

I see that we don't live very far from each other as I'm just 15 kms the other side of Guéret , 4 kms south of Saint Vaury. Have you been living long in Gouzon?  If you want to contact me directly, my phone number is in the Creuse directory. We can maybe get together sometime.

Hi Christine.

Happy New Year and a warm welcome to Knit A Square.

Knitting or crocheting an 8" square or two or possibly even a few is a wonderful gift for the children. They love to receive their blankets, created from squares, which come from kindly, caring folk such as yourself, from over 60 countries all over our world.  PJs (Plain Janes as they are affectionately known) are the backbone of all our blankets. These are single colour squares that are in garter stitch(knitting) or single crochet as they are very solid and provide a contrast to a picture/striped/patterned square or two that may be added to a blanket.By clicking on the KASpattern book tab at the top of the page you can also find lots of patterns provided by our fellow K-A-Sers. If you would kindly check out our wishlist, you can see what items we are currently focusing on.
