"No, I use superwash wool (wont shrink or felt) or reular wool that will felt from KnitPicks.  I also use kool-aid and use the microwave. I hear acrylic might not dye well? Have you tried it?"

knit 16 inch diamond /square for blankets/ sweaters etc--(Square on point)

red heart yarn size 9 needles (in garter stitch-knit every row)



Cast on 3 sts

knit first row



Begin increase rows

Row 1 - knit into front & back of first & last stitches - 5 sts now (WS)

Row 2 - Knit across row (RS)



Repeat these 2 rows



Until you have 91 sts (for a 16 inch square) you will always have an uneven # of stitches
