I have just found my name on the square list for the first lot of squares I sent, it's so exciting to know that you are doing something to help others and it feels so rewarding to be part of a fantastic and caring group of people. I am so made up.

Hi Sharon, thanks for your happy comment on the Izzy doll and green squares.  I like your hat done on a knitting loom.  It looks toasty warm!

Thank you for the friends request Sharon. I have been knitting for a long time so hopefully things turn out right now.I just wish I could crochet properly. I can manage to crochet a border around my blankets but that is about it....in straight lines I am fine but turning corners etc is a bit of a problem. We all have our strengths and the lovely thing about the KAS members on the site is that we can all use them to produce wonderful things for the children.

Hi Sharon :) Thanks for the friend invite! I also have a cat who is sitting right next to my laptop as I type this =) Your first square looks awesome! Keep up the good work!

Hi Sharon... a butterfly knot ... it just means leave about a yard of yarn and tie up into a knot ... just tie the yarn so that it looks like a butterfly.  You will see on some of the photos what it looks like but its only to keep it tidy for the unpackers I think so as long as its tidy thats OK.

Hi Sharon, thank you for the friend request. It is so nice to have such a good reason to knit and crochet, isn't it? I have had my daughter home for 12 days and it has been great fun sitting chatting and crocheting while she makes her gift photo albums-I have felt quite industrious! Hope your knitting is coming on well.

Thank you for your very kind comment. Not every item in the photos I have posted was made by me though - I do get given a lot through my bookshop and sometimes I post pictures as a way of acknowledging this.
