Hi Tess

Please don't worry about your items not arriving. Everything is arriving, it's just that we do not have enough time/money/volunteers to get through the backlog quick enough. Have you read the last two ezines? They explain exactly what is going. A few people have raised these concerns lately and all that we can ask is that people have patience and trust that we are doing our very best to get through the huge amount of parcels arriving each week. To our knowledge nothing has gone missing so far.

Hope this helps Tess.

Cheers, Kalai

Hi Tess

Yes, unfortunately the chat room is not very functional. Unless someone is actually looking at it when you type a message they won't see you messaging. It's frustrating I know but that is all that's available to us right now. We hope to have it fixed at some point. In the meantime I know that people in their groups have organised a time to meet in the chat room. Or you could see who is online and then write them a message asking them to go to chat.

Hope this helps.

Cheers! x x x

Hi Tess, when the ezine is sent out monthly there is a list attached with the names of everyone's parcels. Sometimes you need to wait a little longer because we have so many parcels arriving there is a backlog but we've had very few parcels go missing so far so rest assured that yours will get there safe and sound! Good luck with the hats, they are gorgeous x x x

Hi Tess Yes this is a 2 month challenge so we'll go to the end of March. there may be a smaller 'challenge' posted for March as well - for those who don't want to do G-O's, hats or vests. The need will be in may/June when it starts to get cold in SA

Actually Tess I agree with Julie about the books being educational. It's fun if one finds the stickers to do "counting books" but postcards, streamers, coloured papers and fabrics of ANY type are non existent over there and it all will be hugely valued and loved. I think your farm animal and animal fabric squares can be talked about alot by adults to educate the children about these animals, how they sound, what they do, etc. It's why bright squares are encouraged, their lives are so threadbare and drab that anything is marvellous in their eyes and beneficial to their growth and development. And might I add again how much I love your basketweave/woven look squares? They are SUPER. What a lovely texture for the kids to touch. :)

I don't think they have to be real "educational", I think just having something like that is going to be such a treasure for the kids. I imagine they have very few things like that to look at and play with.

Great Tess - I will add your G-O and hat to the tally for the Feb/Mar Challenge. Would you just check your totals there and let me know if I have missed anything??
