BLOG CLOG
We now have 112 postings in the Blog section. Things are getting very hard to find.
Our forum topics have also gone almost out of control. The mods are working to simplify this - we are creating some new categories, moving and combining some discussion groups into these categories, closing discussions that are no longer active (but everything is still online - see CLOSED DISCUSSIONS Category if you are looking for an OLD post).
In other words - we are trying to make the forum easier to use.
The mods will eventually be working through the blogs - moving things to appropriate categories and discussion groups... but this will take a while to complete.
Meanwhile - could we encourage everyone to post under the existing discussion groups if possible. Please check the new discussions under FORUM GUIDELINES for hints on posting messages.
So for example - if you have the urge to blog about school programs, or blog questions about some aspect of KAS, or use the Blog to post patterns and photos..... If possible, look for the appropriate discussion group in which to post this, so in future, anyone looking for this information can find it easily by going to the pertinent discussion.
Let’s attempt to keep the BLOG section for thoughts and feelings, for original bits if inspired writing... so we can find these things easily and take our own inspiration from them.
We are also requesting that when posting PHOTOS, you limit it to one or at most 2 of the same item - again - please check FORUM GUIDELINES for suggestions. We now have almost 1500 photos and we all love to see them - but it is very hard to find things that were posted a long time ago when you have to through multiples of the same item.

Jen - forgot to mention - it seems when we delete a photo - it also deletes it from whatever album it was put in - kaput! gone! ... so we are moving slowly and trying to figure a way around this

Jen - we are starting to work on the photos We hope to keep at least one of everything, but in cases where there are multiples of the same thing, we will be removing some of them. We are attempting to put things into albums by topics - but this is not an ideal program for this sort of thing - we're working on it - hope we can make it better. I agree - the Photo section is out of control - we are also encouraging people to upload only one - and no more than two of the same item.

Totally agree ! Is it possible to remove some of the photo's that have also been put into albums once they have been on display for more than a given period of time. I'd like to look at some of the beautiful blankets done by members but I don't want to page through a thousand or so pic's - being on the internet is a very expensive exercise for me so I have to limit the time I spend browsing.
