Kalai has just written in Cafe KAS that overnight we achieved our 1000th
member, Anne Hart from the UK. Well done Anne and well done KAS!
We
have 1003 members today to be exact, but only a percentage of our
members are active in the forum discussions. People are busy and have
so much to fit into a day, so we are massively grateful that you find
the time to knit/crochet, and 'post' of the two varieties - parcels and
words in the forum! And we understand if you only have time for one.
Still,
I have been wondering how to make it easier, more accessible, more
interesting for our members to be involved in the challenges, in
particular.
Introductions are a great way to smooth the way,
but perhaps too, for example, long-time members in the country groups
could direct newer members to relevant discussions in the forum,
especially a new challenge, pattern or promotional event.
Let's
see if we can get a discussion going about ways to include, encourage
and continue to energize our wonderful community. We have so much work
to do in terms of warming the children, and we need all the help to do
it - as many hands, hearts and minds as we can muster. Everyone gains
from this participation, so we will enjoy discussing your creative
ideas.
Please join in this discussion.
