Square Circle Forum

Many years ago I would sit with my mother in law now passed away bless her and watch as she knited baby vests and knitted squares. Now all these years later my children have all grown and I feel it is time I knitted for these little children and in memory of a woman I adored and who had the most kind and forgiving heart,

Kathy.

Hi Kathy

Welcome to KAS and the forum. Sometimes our main page is confusing - so as one of the mods, I am going to make a suggestion. Your blog posts is not getting noticed very much and the response is limited because it is hard to find.

That area on the main page looks like anyone can blog there - and they can - but generally we try to reseerve that area for Sandy so other blogs do not show up easily.

There are two things you can try. Click on the forum tab in the top menu bar. This brings up a list of categories in the forum. To the right of the category name is a number which shows the number of discussions in that category. Click on the category title and a screen comes up with a list of the discussions going on. You can start a new discussion by clicking "Add discussion" in the upper right corner and away you go. You could choose to open a discussion under either "Meeting you" or under "Members Personal blogs". Both of these will act just like your very own blog and will be easily seen by all forum readers.

Each time you want to add to your blog, click on the "reply to this" right under the discussion intro. This will put your new comment at the end of the discussion and keep everything in chronological order. It is not necessary to open a new discussion every time you want to add something and it will keep all the responses in one place where they are easy for you to find.

You can move your current blog posts to the opening are of your discussion by copying and pasting the text.

We are so glad you have joined us and we want to hear what you have to say. Moving out of that main page blog area will let us find you so much more easily.

Again - welcome

Welcome Kathy! You've found as at a good time. The team in South Africa has said that squares are desperately needed. We're very lucky to have you on board.

What a touching story about your mother-in-law. I know she would be very proud of you today.

Welcome to the forum!
