Square Circle Forum

Hi everyone, I would like to say a big thank you from myself and the residents of Nicholas House Care home in England for the very warm welcome and the many emails received after joining this fantastic community last week.  I would now like to introduce Ruth, Jean, Kathleen, Dulcie and Marrie, these are the ladies who are knitting for the children.  These ladies age range from 87 to 97 years of age and it is quite suprising how nimble and how fast they are producing squares and vests for the children.  They would all like to say hello to everyone.  Tomorrow (Friday) I have promised with my co-worker Trev to introduce the ladies to the world of computers and emails.  They find it fasinating that I have made contact with so many people who are all interested in the care of these children.  No doubt after a few lessons they will knocking on the office door and tying up the computer doing their own blogs.  Anyway all you great people out there take care and we will be in contact soon.

Good to hear from you Chris.  I admit I don't get to the blogs very often but thankfully this one came up in my Inbox.  Your knitting angels sound super.  So glad to have them with us!  There are many photos here on site of the children. On the Main Page you can find links to all the Ezines which go into detail, with photos, on the various creches, homes and distributions we do in South Africa.  Last year Jigsaw was mailing the squares over to Africa for all UK KASers...it really helped a lot with postage costs.  Do check under Groups with the UK group for what they're up to.  I rather hope more companies volunteer to help with postage.  I send my packages "sea mail" which takes 6-8 weeks from Canada but it does arrive nonetheless.  Hi to all the ladies and I actually got smart and clicked "follow" for this blog so it will pop up in my Email.  Even at 60 I'm still learning new tricks!   Hi Lovely Ladies!
