I just recently attended "STITCHES" (MIDWEST) earlier this month and I had a great time. I took a class with Master Knitter, Ms. Lily Chin. She is am excellent instructor. The class a that I took is called "Join As You Go". I learned a lot but I'm going to have to practice. The technique is really cool because it eliminates bulkiness in the seams of your garment. I'm gonna take another class with her in October at "Vogue Knitting Live, Chicago". I found some large skeins of silk/wool yarn that were originally $52.00/skein for $10.00 each. And if you bought five you got a sixth one for free. Which means that you were getting some $52.00 dollar yarn for $8.33/skein. What a steal for such great quality yarn. I can't remember the brand. I'll let you know the next time I blog.
They also had a great fashion show, which was totally awesome. The skill of some of those Master Knitters will blow you away. I just finished my second set of squares for the KAS project and I am currently working on a hot pink scarf for (Knit for the Cure) which is one the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's fundraising events that takes place in San Diego, CA every November. This is my purse I made last year. Constructive criticism about the purse is welcome. I am eager to hear your comments. Well anyway, I gotta get back to work. I just felt like blogging. So Blog Out. Holla.
