I tried to send you a message but the kas email did not work. I will try at the library computer in the next few days. Now it is raining buckets here and basements are flooding! I am working on the blue scarf from the lovely yarn you sent me. Also a hat for kas. Hope you are well. Blessings!

Thanks Jeanne,

The yarn I used said 10mm needles but I used 7mm to make him more chunky. I find it is best to secure the scarf at the back and make buttons from wool:))

Hello Jeanne, When i used to do this knitting in my younger:)) days I tried to make a rug but it used to curl up and no way would it stay flat. Years later as of now I thought scarf for teddies and I really enjoy doing it:))

Hello Jeanne,

I did the scarves on a french knitting dolly. Haven't used one of them since I was a young girl:))

Hi Jeanne, Thanks for your lovely comments. Boot sales  are a good place to find cuddlies. So many children here don't keep their toys for very long so they are virtually new toys. I hope to knit some more teddies when I get some more stuffing and hopefully their faces will be better with a few tips from Kathy P:)

Yes, I made hem. I call him Joe Louis (the boxer) and he is finished so I will be sending him. Because I was satisfied with my terrible picture taking with that photo so that became my avatar.

Hello Jeanne and thank you for your warm welcome :)

I'm enjoying browsing the useful links you gave and am very inspired by the lovely things being knitted. I was amazed by Lizzie's story so sending needles and wool whilst my squares slowly take shape.

By the way, I did search and was unable to find a list that define PJs and Gogo.

Hi Jeanne:) Thank you so much for your kind compliments :) I hope you are doing fine again and that your health has improved. The hats are exactly the size you mention, I took that into account while knitting. They (almost) fit me. The handwarmers are 5 for the boys and 5 for the girls. The white edging is "Phildar Neige". I have used it before for handwarmers, it is extremely soft and strong. The crochet handwarmer do not need a special edging on top because I made the 1st 6 stitches with hook size 3.5 and the remaining 22 stitches wit hook size 4.00mm, so the top of the handwarmer will fit without a gap. Let's see what Ronda's findings will be. xo

Hi Jeanne, I said the same to this lady that I admire her being able to knit gloves. I am in my comfort zone with hats squares and scarves also. She looked soo happy when she knew where her gloves were going. Such a shame she didn't have more as my husband and I won't be in that area until spring next year. It is where our holiday caravan is which we have now closed up for the winter.
