Hi Deanna, thanks for inviting me as a friends but, as the others will tell you, I don't get much time to talk online these days. My lovely son messed up the home computer and now I only get limited access in the library :-(
I see you are very clever at crochet! I can just about do granny squares, but knitting is my main passion.
Yeah, I'll be digging out that yellow sport yarn tomorrow probably and giving it a go with the puff stitch, see how it "puffs" and if a square needs a border or not. I'll probably get a photo done of it when I've managed it. Temperatures jumped up today so I've been baking abit. I know it was only 78F but given we've been down around 40F that IS a jump so until we're used to it the thought of digging through my yarn stash makes me feel faint, lol. I'll wait til it cools down again eh? ;)
I'm behind the door again Deanna, here's my "official welcome message to you"....better late than never eh? Well I hope so or some people would never hear from me, LOL.

Thanks for letting me know that the puff stitch works good as a square...I was thinking of doing one this morning as a matter of fact. I was wondering if it would go better with a single crochet border on all four sides. Guess I'll find out about that! :)
Deanna, nice to have another "northerner" on the forum !
I also love crocheting rather than knitting. I like the variety of patterns with crocheting.....and I too find knitting slow. We will have to share patterns :-)
Hi Deanna, welcome to the forum ! It's always nice to have another Canadian, and Ontarian on board. Once you have found your way around, you might like to join the Canadian Corner. We chat about things that are uniquely Canadian...usually the weather :-)

If you have any questions, just ask, there is always someone who will answer.
Do you knit or crochet or both ?
Linda
