Greetings Deborah from up in Canada above MN! Welcome to a worldwide network of loving happy people helping African Aids orphans. Glad to have you with us. It's so heartening to know that in this global, often so impersonal world, we're actually making a difference, a REAL difference, in the lives of these children. Check out the Forum, above, for the various discussion threads, and Photos for all the lovely photos of members' work and Groups where you can join groups from countries around the world.
The Featured Discussions grouping (in the Forum section) show the most important subjects at the moment, latest challenges, latest news etc. I also recommend the Anyone Want to Chat Discussion section, which contains the Our Furry Companions and Yarnaholics threads. I am so much a Yarnaholic! You joined us just in time to contribute some warm squares, hats and garments for the children, as their winter is approaching as ours leaves. Thanks again for helping the AIDS orphans in Africa!
Welcome, Deborah from another Deborah! I'm Debbie to my friends and family. I'm from suburban Philadelphia and have been to NH several times. Once, we climbed Mt. Monadnock and drove up Mt. Washington. We like to vacation in Western MA and VT sometimes, too. So glad you joined us!
We are so glad you are joining our global knitting/crocheting family in providing warmth to these darling children.
Do you knit or crochet? Or perhaps both?
If you have not already done so, you may like to check out our many interesting discussions by clicking on the 'forum' tab at the top of the page. At the top of the page you can also click on 'groups' and join as many as you would like. The USA one is quite active, I believe.
In the 'photo' section you will find loads of wonderful pics of items that have been made by your fellow KASers...so inspirational, especially if you are unsure what to make.
If you would like a little more background info on the achievements of KAS please click here. There are so many heart-warming articles and pics.
Any questions...please ask....we are a friendly supportive bunch who love to help each other, where possible.
