Hi, Karen...........was just thinking about you and wondering if you ever found
out whether your squares actually did arrive in South Africa. Hope all is well.
Helen
Hi, Karen........I graduated much before you........in 1959. Received my degree
in education and taught secondary school in Alexandria. Met a handsome
Texas lawyer doing JAG duty at the Pentagon and married him in the Chapel
in 1961. We have lived in Houston since 1962. Both retired now and enjoying 8 grandchildren. My husband was for many years the Chief
Counsel at the Johnson Space Center in Houston.
Don't worry too much about your packages. I think the huge backlog is
being addressed this week and the next ezine should have some whopping
numbers of names and donations to catch up.
Are you practicing law in Charlottesville now? What is your specialty?
Best,
Helen
Welcome to our warm KAS community. It's great to see you. We hope you will enjoy the forum and your region's group. You should join the USA group!
There are lots of great discussions going on in the forum, including the monthly challenges.
We have a challenge every month, if you want to get involved please do. It's not compulsory at all but some of the work done is just lovely. Have a look at the November challenge - the SLIP-OVER (under challenges in the main forum) this will give you an idea of some of the fantastic work this community is doing for the children of South Africa. Here is a link to the November challenge photos:
