Assorted

Three beanie I made, I'll make more bigger ones now that apparantly it's larger sizes which are needed. Some squares I made last week - the pink and green one I knitted as two 10cm by 20cm pieces to show the kids at work - I have my students knitting 10cm by 20cm pieces to stitch together since that seems more achievable.

  • Thanks for the lovely words guys. I have heaps of that oatmeal coloured yarn. I'm trying to team it up with brighter colours to make it more exciting. That little white one (it's actually a pale blue but you can't see that in the photo) is sooooo soft. The pinky - blue swirly one is doubled baby yarn - which seems to be my favourite thing to do for KAS at the moment - super soft and super warm, and also very stretchy.
  • Elizabeth that makes a lot of sense, giving the children sizes that they can easily achieve. I think my personal fav is the oatmeal with multicolored stripes through it. It's so danged cheerful and happy! However I love the bold colours of the other squares, color makes such an impact when given to people who have little of cheer in their lives. These will bring happiness and warm to those who really need it. The hats are absolutely darling, I think my fav is the white one, it looks so incredibly soft. Well done! I am sizing up to larger hats too, though right now I admit to buying them from the dollar stores, they're warmer and better made than mine, lol.
  • That's it, rope in the kids to help. Love the wild beige/mixture stripy one.

  • That's a great idea Elizabeth! Bite size pieces are probably easier for the kids x x x
