  • Sharman,

This technique will speed up your knitting! I like it because it makes even a fingering weight yarn more suitable for warm blankets.
  • Thanks for posting this technique! I will have to try it. I am always looking for different ways to knit.
  • Jeanne,

Yes this is 3 strands of wool but the beauty of it is that it is from ONE ball. AND you make it as you go - you don't have to prepare yards/meters of wool in advance. I'd love to see what happens when you crochet with it. Should come together quickly with a large hook.

Here's the link to see the Navajo technique should you be curious: Navajo plying.
  • As I don't knit I have to ask, is this knitting with three strands? Lovely colour. I am finding creative ways to combo thin yarns with thicker myself, but for crocheting. As you say, whatever works and uses them up, some of the thinner yarns are so so pretty.
  • So glad to convert another knitter to this technique. I know lots of people who are using it for lots of very fine wool that has just sit on cones as decorations! :)
  • Dawne - I followed the link on Ravelry that you put up for Navajo knitting - I'd never heard of it before but what a great technique!
