April Challenge - Sailing away

This is based on a cross stitch embroidery pattern I found by searching Google images for 'cross stitch patterns the sea'. I cut and pasted some of the simpler patterns I liked into a Word document, then printed it off to use as a knitting chart.

    Thanks for telling me about Tunisian crochet.  I'd never heard of it. so have just watched a video on You Tube.  It looks exciting.  I've been knitting for fifty years, but somehow never learned to crochet. Is Tunisian crochet easy or difficult for a novice crocheter?

    What a great knitting pattern tip, Ilse...I love the multi-colored sails. I've often wondered about adapting cross stitch pattern graphs for knitting and tunisian crochet....it sure works, this is such a cute square!
