Slipover #3 and beanie

This vest in knitted in the round then the straps are added at the end. It's a slipover, not a slip under, as it's just regular acrylic yarn. I actually started it as a beanie for a friend, but I cast on a stupid number of stitches, and after about 3 inches I couldn't bear to pull it out. I think it worked well but I don't know if I'd do it like this again, I'm not sure about the straps. Thoughts?

  • This is a charming set, it really is. I've been wondering about making a round, tubular body on a knitting loom for awhile, wondering if it will work in finer yarn. Yours looks very soft and the colours are SO pretty. Well done indeed!
  • What a funky little set for a very lucky little girl.

  • I also wouldn't use such a light pink next time, I'd use a brighter or darker colour which wouldn't show the dirt. Perhaps I'd switch it and use the light pink as the highlights rather than the main colour - I still have about 6 more balls of it! I think I'll have to do some 'boy' vests next - there does seem to be a lot of pink so far.
