I am delighted to host another KAS monthly and there is something for everyone in this month's topic, Whatever your level of skill, let your imagination run riot with your choice of yarn, stitch, colour, pattern, texture, motif, and design to create squares, beanie hats, hand warmers and toys,
Here are just a few ideas to get your needles clicking, though members from the southern hemisphere will have their own interpretations of the seasons. I've mentioned before that I have problems with blues and greens, I definitely thought I was buying three shades of green but I think I've got to hold my hands up and admit the dark one is actually blue!
Whatever the colour, it's a stunning blanket. :))
Received a donation of squares - just perfect for the Seasons theme. The rust squares and orange/yellow variegated squares remind me of the trees at this time of year. The blue ones are reminiscent of the sky on cold crisp Autumn days. Adding in a few of my wheel spokes in fall colours has made enough for a blanket in record time :-) Now to sew it together !
Oh goodness. I was researching past articles for a project on KAS and found this from April 2013. Linda you hosted a Four Seasons theme and shared this link: Four Seasons. by Vivaldi. It is long enough for me to complete one granny square.
Thanks for the memory Amy! Looking forward to seeing your Vivaldi square :-)
Lovely, rich colour combinations, Linda.
Ooooh - in the introduction I see my little chicken toy and also a pair of mitts that are photographed upside down - what a clown I am! Thank you for choosing them to illustrate spring.
It's given me some ideas for colour combinations, though........ and maybe I will have another go at a toy or two!
We look forward to seeing your contribution, Rebecca.
Lovely squares Susan ! The left one reminds me of the cool colours of the summer flowers in my garden, while the right square brings to mind the hot summer we had.
I'm still finishing a item from September but thanks to your introduction Susan, I see it fits October's theme even better! I'm not behind, I'm ahead of the game?...sorta... :-))
Great, Deborah, and I look forward to seeing your September/October squares.
That is the beauty about the this month's theme, as anybody who missed earlier themes this year e.g. Christmas and the Seaside, has a second chance with Seasons - it is such a broad subject..
