Nice to meet you, I live in Bowthorpe just outside norwich. I'm busy knitting some cardigans for my five month old grandaughter Eva. Then I'm going to knit myself a chunky coat. Hope to chat to you soon,
We run a challenge each month. This month it is ‘Make it in May' and we would love you to participate, especially knowing that whatever you make will soon benefit one of our children.
Don't forget to post photographs of your work, either in the challenge month, or in your personal blogs as well as in the photos section of the forum. We have an awesome gallery of the work the KAS community is doing in photos, which is really inspiring.
Hi Denise,
Thanks for your message. I have just joined too :) I have only done one square so far. I started with 32 stitches but it was too small. I have seen on the forum now it needs around 40 stitches to get an 8 inch square. So I haven't sent any off yet but all the info for sending is on here: http://www.knit-a-square.com/postal.html

Hi Denise, welcome to the forum. Always nice to see some new people with new ideas and enthusiasm and even nicer if we get a few Brits to keep us company.

Hi Denise,
I knit too - I'm trying to learn to crochet but not making great progress. I can't really remember learning to knit, I was very young, but there have been long period in my life when I haven't done it at all. I discovered this site last summer and I've certainly knitted since then. If you haven't already done so you'll enjoy looking at the photos of some of the work that people have done. It's a big site now and takes a bit of navigating. Hope you enjoy being part of the community - everyone is very friendly and supportive and if you have any queries there is always someone willing to help.
Happy knitting.

Welcome to the Square Circle Forum. You'd be very welcome to join the UK Group is you feel like it. Do you knit or crochet (or both)?
