Hi Jane,
How lovely it was to hear that your son had got on so well with his music and to be in a band too! I don't know about your family, but Martin's talent with music has come from nowhere - I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket!!
Dear Jane, thank you for your comments.
I would love to see your Angels photograph and I do hope you will be able to send them to me.
I am learning still my whereabouts in the Forum and don't know much but I am willing.
I found too that P&P to Africa is costly but Little Angels will send may be just twice a year.
Not every members in fact agrees with my extravagant expenditure and that's why I am selling my own Angel Paintings and truly hope they will go at the Fundraising event this Saturday.
I am glad you love Dorset, I love it too.
If you and your ladies would love to take on board the Angel's Embrace Shawl could be something good for you locally to give to the local Hospice or through the Churches for the lonely and bereaved in the community.
Also they can be knitted for man as greys, brown and maroons and blue seem to be their favourites.
I am currently knitting a lilac one for a grandmother in Africa for KAS and at the same time squares.
Let me know how it all develop.
This September I hope I will raise more awareness through local Radios and newspaper to know about KAS and hope to host a Knit a Square Day event the 19th.
Cross my fingers and see what happen.
In the meantime, all the best and thank you.

Lovely to put a face to the Rendezvous Knitters. That is a just a great contribution, thank you so much. Did you see any of your squares in the latest ezine?
I am just getting around to finding you all to welcome you to the KAS community. Hope you get to make sense of the square tally. It is a bit confusing, but I am sure Kyla and Kalai will figure it out (well I hope so!)
I know it's all a bit confusing! If you go to the UK group, click on Square Count,(with my peacock picture next to it) which is about a third of the way down the page on the left hand side, it will bring up all that has been entered so far. Ignore the comment box at the top, but scroll down to the bottom, click on reply and it should open a new box for you to type in. Hope that helps, if not get back to me!
Have you already added any of your items to the running totals, either on the old forum or on Ravelry, or would you like to add them to the UK group totals? It would certainly boost our numbers!
Jane, what a tremendous effort by you and your group of ladies. It is just so inspiring to hear all the encouraging comments by everyone involved. Angela xx
Hi Jane - welcome to the group! I know exactly what you mean about computers - I'm just the same! For some reason it wouldn't let me sign in on the group page and leave a message so I thought I'd come here and say that I'd just got your email - what fantastic news! Well done to all the ladies in your group, they're all brilliant! With regard to postage - have you thought about sending it surface mail as it's about half the price of air mail? Diane
Hi Jane, just seen your message, not too sure how things work here yet! Nice to meet someone who lives 'nearby'. Have you seen the new UK group here? I've just joined that.
No, no, this is a painting I did from a photo my mother took of me when I was little. I was known for my "get-ups." I guess she took a particular fancy to this grocery bag creation.
