I hope all your questions have been answered. Go to my page and look at my photos. You will see that I have a book called Wool-Girl and the Balls of Wool. I look forward to seeing your work on the page. All the best. Maudie :)
p.s. I have been putting up a Monday Moment for 40 weeks - you might enjoy watching out for it.
Thank you for the friend request, which is accepted with pleasure. :))
To find the Aussie/NZ group you need to go to the top of the page and click on where it says 'groups' and then up will come a whole host of groups. We, the Aussies and NZers are called "Downunder and Land of the Long White Cloud"'. Just click on that group icon and you wil be able to join. Easy as.
Sue, I see that you found my first reply. I will look for this pattern and if it's no longer on site I'll send you another pattern for something similar. Can't do it at the moment as I'm at work but I will have a think about it later.
Hi Sue, Just saw your questions about KASCuddles and pullovers. There used to be patterns for knitting Cuddles flat but I couldn't find one when I looked just now. I too hate circulars so I usually make mine flat although it is more difficult since it was decided that they needed to be bigger. I used to make a rectangle and seam it up the front but it's hard to get enough stitches on the needles now so it's necessary to make two pieces and have side seams. If you aim for rectangles 15" wide and 35" long including the cuff they should be fine. If I was making one that way I think I would knit two flat stocking stitch pieces (15" X 30") but not cast off, join the three sides and then make the cuff section by ribbing another 5" at the top by gritting my teeth and using a circular needle but working back and forth.
Regarding pullovers, I'm not sure which pattern you mean. If this one http://forum.knit-a-square.com/photo/tops?context=latest you just need to bear in mind Jeanne's comment that they need to be big enough, especially the head opening. There is a new pattern book coming soon but I don't know if this pattern is included as it has caused some problems.
