Hi,

I've been making squares for KAS since late last year and following KAS on both Facebook and Ravelry (my Ravelry name is aishakenza). I'm a serial crocheter ☺I love making the squares, it's a great way to try out new stitches and designs and a great stash-buster. However, I also buy yarn especially for KAS. Just this morning I saw some gorgeous hot pink yarn on the market and have already made a lovely square with it.

I crochet other things too, especially amigurumi. Some of these I give away to friends and family, some I sell and some go to South Africa too. I'm so glad I discovered KAS, well done to the founders, the collectors, those who sew the squares together, and all the other crocheters and knitters around the world who are doing such a great job!

  • Hi Caroline. I'm glad you're settling in to KAS. Talking of amigurumi, I've promised to make about 50 for a fundraise at the end of July. A knitting group that I belong to  needs money to send our contributions to South Africa. we're having a stall at a local fete to sell amigurumi. I'm trying to make 2 a day, but it's tough going. I'm a crocheter also. My knitting efforts are just about passable as long as I stick to squares.

  • Génial ! Where do you live in France ?

You sound like an experienced crocheter - perhaps you will want to join in one of our monthly Challenges - this month is Christmas, next month is Africa... see you there??

    • Bonjour Caroline

....and that's probably just about all I remember of my French lessons at school about 35 years ago...

Great to hear you have joined us on the forum.  Have you posted any pics of your squares? We would love to see them.  :))
