Charity Fair, Oswestry, UK

Elaine Jones and I took at stall at a charity fair last Friday.  Sadly it was a wet and windy day so people did not want to linger.  However we made some contacts who have promised blankets, squares and wool so we wait for those to materialise.  The fair organiser, Kim, was really lovely and was struggling with crochet so Elaine gave her a Masterclass which was the highlight of her day!  Pics attached

  • Well done Elaine and Pam. Excellent effort even though the weather was so poor. You just never know how much effect these things have as some people who saw you there may go on to tell others who tell others, who tell others who then might become some of KAS' most dedicated supporters. Love the pics.

    • Thanks Jeni,

We have now been asked to do a display in Sainsbury's in August and to attend my village fair here in September.  I don't think recruiting knitters will ever be a problem - just raising the postage costs but we'll find a way.  More donations of wool have come in and later in the year I will be ebaying some of it to raise postage funds.

  • Well done to yourself and Elaine....You both showed true KAS spirit when less enthusiastic and less committed folk would have stayed home.

Thanks for sharing your photos, I love the little dolls and teddies...soooo cute.

  • What a great idea !   Too bad you had to wear heavy coats....in June !  There will definitely be ripples from the week-end.

  • Well done Pam & Elaine for braving the appalling Friday weather in the UK to spread-the-word about KAS. What troopers!
