Shalom.

Good Morning, I'm an American expat loving life in my adopted homeland. I've lived in the U.K for seven years now and really feel at home. I'm 33, Mum to 4 children 4-15 years old. I enjoy all sorts of craftiness and being able to help others doing something I enjoy is a real blessing.

 

I only have 4 squares made at the moment but hopefully that number will increase quickly. My 7 year old is keen to learn to knit as she wants to help the children in need stay warm too.

I'm happy to be a part of the K-A-S community.

    Hello Perpetua and welcome. I am an American ex-pat living near Glasgow, and  I love living in the UK!  I have 5 year old twins that are very eager to learn knitting as well.  I hope you enjoy being a part of KAS, it is very fulfilling.

    Welcome Perpetua!  (Yes, agreed Enid, what a fabby name!)  I have one 8 year old boy, who at the moment is NOT much taken with knitting, although thinks KAS is cool.  However, I am trying to teach kids at his school to knit, so I'm spreading the knitting word through other channels!  I live in sunny Hertfordshire, although I'm originally from Bristol, and I hope the spring sunshine has penetrated the Scottish border!  Good luck with the squares!  Kate

    Welcome to KAS! Thank you for contributing to such a great cause. I have two boys, ages 5 and 2, and I'm looking forward to the day when I can teach one or both of them to crochet, as my mom taught me.
