Hello from Scotland

Hi, my name is Audrey, im 38 and come from Scotland. AIDS and HIV awareness etc has been something I have supported for many years.  A very good friend of mine comes from Cape Town in South Africa, he has told me how bad the situation is there for many of the children and I have always wanted to do something to help but as I live many thousands of miles away I didn't know how, then I saw this website in a magazine letters page.  This is the ideal way for me to at least feel as if I am doing something, I'm not brilliant at knitting but I can do this.  I have some items already finished and waiting to go, will parcel them up and send them off when I have finished a few more.

      Thank you for the lovely welcome Andrea, lost another 2 1/2 lbs this week so the crocheting And knitting is beniffiting me and the little children of South Africa : -)

    Hello Audrey, I'm not much of a knitter either but I so enjoy knowing the little I have to offer is actually helping and as I keep - saying, it keeps me out the biscuit tin.

      Hi Helen, thank you for the welsome :-) I've recently lost 24lbs so I'm hoping this helps me lose the rest, while the hands are busy it stops me nibbling lol

      Thank you for the welcome Enid, have sent a parcel off already, forgot to take pics, but will take some of the next one I send off, only squares in afraid, not very good at much else, but it all helps :-)
