My name is Sarah and I live in Sydney Australia. I recently had a little boy so I am a new stay at home mum. My son is just on 4 months of age now. I love to knit so I hope the KAS challenge can help keep me occupied when I have spare time at home!

I am not the best knitter but am looking forward to knitting squares for the children in need.

Cheers! :)

It seems like they need blankets more than anybody else, my heart bleeds for these poor little children.

  • Welcome, Sarah! It amazed me how having a baby changed my view of children in need halfway around the world.
The challenges definitely keep people busy! If you need any help or encouragement, you've come to the right place. Post a question and you'll have half a dozen people offering help in no time. :o)

  • Hi Sarah

Wonderful to have you on board!

  • Welcome, Sarah!  That is a cute baby you have =)!  KAS is a wonderful way to fill up your spare minutes!  When my first baby was about 4 months old, I started crocheting squares for a different charity (KAS wasn't around then).  Making squares was PERFECT for me because I could work on one in between the baby needing me, and at the end of the day I could see the results of my efforts:  1 or 2 or 3 beautiful squares!  I had a harder time seeing the results of my efforts with the baby because he was just as grumpy at the end of the day as he had been at the beginning ;-).

    Best wishes,

    Rachel
