HI there

I'm Debby from the south of England.  I've been looking for a charity project to knit or crochet for as all my children have grown up and don't want mums knitted goodies anymore!!  My daughter in law won't even let me knit for our grandaughter.  Never mind I have found KAS and can knit and crochet to my hearts content knowing that it will be going to a good cause.  I have been looking through the photos and I am amazed at all the talented people out there I just hope my efforts can help in some small way.

    Hi Debby

    Lovely to have you on board!  Like you, I love knitting and have no one to knit for (well, lots of people to knit for, but no one who wants handknits!) so KAS fills a hole in my knitting life - and the idea that I'm doing good as well, just makes me glow inside!

     

    Hooray for cold nights and rubbish TV!

    Thank for the welcome I've already made 4 squares and am coming to the end of my first jumper.  The jumper isn't my best work but to be fair I got half way through the pattern before I realised the pattern was in US stitches and I was doing UK stitches.  Never mind it will still keep someone warm!

    Glad to have you with us Debby.  I'm across the Pond in Canada, still 4 feet of snow outside.  Just don't tell me about your flowers blooming and we'll get along fine, LOL.  I agree, my grown kids rarely want or need anything handmade, though they are sometimes partial to scarves, but those things last and last, so for me too KAS came along at just the right time.  I love that I'm making a difference in the world, my work is valued and I can do something I really enjoy doing without being, in my case, a crocheting virtuoso!
