colorado Springs for the last 19 years and I love it snow in May and all.
I belong to two twelve step programs Al anon and overeaters anonymous. I spend alot of time now giving service to my overeaters(OA) taking phone calls and doing other things to
support my abstinence. I wasn't really that much overweight but had all the isms worried about my weight, was always snacking even though it was just carrots. I am on a food plan and have a connection with God that supports my food plan and life and has turned my life
around. I share this because it is a part of me and one that has made me very happy.
I have only been knitting since December I have learned a couple times but not stayed with it
the way I am now.
I love having friends a on this board it is so much fun. Right now because of my bi-polar and getting the meds right again I am isolating alot and this board really helps. I think I am somewhere near my 30th square. Well thats all for now. thanks ahead of time for all
your responses

Hi Peggy,
It's nice to see you on here again! My prayers are with you and your family. Don't beat yourself up about not being able to knit at the moment, instead of sending squares perhaps set aside 5 minutes each day to have the KAS children in your thoughts and send them a prayer.
Blessings,
Angela
I thought of all of you today and wishing I could knit. I think I told you last time I am having back problems I have had them for about two monthes now going out of the house is very painful so I don't much. I am still having problems getting my bipolar meds right.
Well I just mainly was wondering what all of you are up to.
Well dear Peggy one of my main concerns at the moment is getting the cat to stop peeing in inappropriate places! I'll be half way through a row of knitting and hear a "scritch-scratch-scritch" and leap up to find a puddle deliberately made, yuck. Seems to be improving since getting a spray from the petshop. We did have to put them in cattery for 5 days while getting my daughter from Scotland and apparently they were very aggressive there....then we were away for a week leaving them at home with the same daughter and they misbehaved. I think they dislike ANY change of circumstances at all.
I'm really sorry to hear you're still having back problems and with the bi-polar meds too. I know I've mentioned it before but have you tried the chiropractor for your back? It was the only thing that worked for me.
With knitting I've just started a cushion of squares of different stitches for my cousin who's recovering from a kidney transplant, and am doing some cute slippers for KAS, see Julia Dee's blog. I have such a backlog to post, really should stop knitting and start packing.
The holiday we had was in an old mill looking out for miles over rivers and marshes...the birds, animals and sunsets were unforgettable (though maybe not everyone would have liked the spiders as much as we did!!!)
Take care Peggy. Love Anne.
Sorry to hear you've got more problems, Peggy. Special thoughts and prayers are winging your way!
Love, Jeanne
We're rooting for you Peggy...just go one day at a time. Can you use one of those lightweight electronic pads, like a Kindle, to read a book while lying down? Having arthritic hips and lower back I do sympathize over sitting problems, and standing ones too. No fun, I agree. :(
Hang in there kiddo. We are praying for you and we have faith you'll make it through. Go gently, take good care of you. Now is the time to be pampered...you've done so much for others, let them take care of you, for once. It's a pretty cool feeling! (I remember that from when I broke my leg) It will get better over time...it will. Have faith hon, this storm will roll past too.
Love, Jeanne xoxoxoxo
