Wish list calendar

Do we have a calendar going forward? I find that by the time my parcel reaches SA by surface mail (because that's the postage I can afford) it's up to three months later and I've missed the monthly plan. Right now I should be doing something to be needed in March. At one time I know that there was a wish list or challenge that spanned several months. Can someone give me some ideas?

  • Remember too that in South Africa, actual winter doesn't start until June, and only ends in August! March (autumn/fall) is when it starts to get chilly, but even if you didn't get to send anything until March, your items would still arrive in time for the start of Winter proper!

  • Hi Christine

Don't worry too much about timing and mailing - everything is needed... always.

However, right now many of us are concentrating on Ronda's Winter Drive

We are hoping to build up her stockpile of warm things for distribution when the next South African winter sets in - which is several months away.. so we have time to "make and mail"

If you are inspired to make any of the things mentioned in the Winter Drive that's great, but if you are not - remember that blanket squares are our top priority always... and we never get too many.

  • Hi Christine, the Monthly Challenges for 2013 are still being discussed and prepared by the Moderator Team.  However for January 2013 it has been decided to continue with Ronda's Winter Drive as it is so valuable and important.  Linda Maltby (Canada) has volunteered to lead the continuation of the Winter Drive, so please keep an eye open for slight changes to the current version.  Here is a quick link :

When the Challenges are ready they will be listed in :

    Hope this helps!
