Hi Cathy I just noticed your birthday last week. I hope you had a good day. All the best. Just dropping in on my forum friends to see and new work and comments. :)
Hi Cathy! It's gotten a little crazy here. I couldn't remember if I had answered you or not. Sorry! I can't believe how much you are sending. That is just fantastic! I will let you know the minute the boxes arrive.
Thank you so much for your generosity and a very Happy Easter to you and your family!
That's fantastic! What a wonderful Grandmother! I can't wait to see all your beautiful squares!
I am shooting for 500 squares by June 1st. So far I have received 153 squares, 55 hats and 1 Kascuddle so things are going very well!
I think postage is roughly 50 cents per square. I have an Etsy shop and an online shop. I am hoping to use profits from these shops for shipping. I won't be sending them all at one time. It seems that it's better for Ronda to have smaller envelopes and that will brake up the shipping for me!
Thanks so much to you, Joan and her Grandma in law!
Cathy I'm so sorry to hear of your trials at the Post Office! Mail costs have always been an issue for the USA members. Do get in contact with them via the US Chat group, as they often have ideas on how to drop postage costs. Recently Jigsaw, a company, suggested people mail the squares to them and they would send them on to Africa. There maybe something more like this in the offing, particularly if we pray about it. Jigsaw also helped out the UK members with postage. God Bless companies like this. They aren't the first and hopefully won't be the last! Love, Jeanne
Hi Cathy, We just got home from West Va and enjoyed our time there. We were in Elkins and stayed at the Davis and Elkins College...lovely place! Did lots of knitting on the ride home! Yes, hats are always welcomed for the children. It gets very cold there in winter (our summer time) and hats and blankets are a special thing for the children.
Thank you Cathy. Did you check out my page and see my bits and pieces. We all inspire each other - I have only lately started adding little objects to some of my squares. Enjoy the ride!!
