Thank you for your written words of encouragement! I gave this stitch a go and did manage one lizardy line - however, despite being an experienced knitter of some 40 years I just couldn't get my head around continuing on. I have appreciated opening my mind to it though thanks to your gorgeous example!
Hi Karen, I have sent pencil cases with metal zips and plastic zips and have had no pronlems. It was great to hear from Kathy P about the lovely day you all had. I was sorry Icouldn't be there but had a weekend planned away with friends at our holiday caravan in Norfolk. I also have various unfinished projects so you are not alone. I have just completed a jumper which I have been knitting since June and have several squares to finish off plus 3 scarves. Your cuddlies look sooo cute:)
Hi Karen, it was lovely to meet you to! Particularly special to knit using your stitch whilst sat next to you. I understand why you feel apprehensive about the zips as I was when I first sent them, and sharpeners of course. I've not had a problem with them, I imagine its not a large enough area of metal to cause concern. Hope you enjoy sending them, I always think the opening team will enjoy a bit of variety! xx
Thanks Karen. It was lovely to meet you too. I really enjoyed the day and meeting everyone and chatting all things KAS as well as getting to know each other. My arm is ok, hopefully on the mend, but at least I can still crochet the squares, though I have to take more breaks (pardon the pun) in between. Hope your family is well and didn't miss you too much. Cath
Hi Karen, hope you are keeping well and I know you had a great time at the UK Big Day Out !
Would you mind adding your latest squares total to the 'Knit-a-Square Delivers' discussion. Your 47 squares will move the Van forward another 100 metres. Thanks so much ! Linda xx
Oh, Karen, I hadn't looked at the Sorted in South Africa thread for awhile. I'll go check now. I shipped two big packages about 3-4 weeks ago, so I guess they arrived and got opened. Thanks for the heads up. I always enjoy those photos, because there is so much to look at and marvel at.
Thank you, Karen :) Yes, again next year would be great. Being mini, it's just so relaxing. Challenging each other like that was really a lot of fun ... never knowing what you would get. Someone said it was like getting a surprise or a gift or something like that. I agree! I really enjoyed it. xo
Hi Karen, sorry for taking so long to respond to your friend request - I'd only been viewing the forum on my phone, so I didn't know how to 'accept'! (I've not totally got the hang of using the forum to be honest!) - Jo

Thank you so much Karen :) Next week or the week thereafter I will join your mini Christmas challenge! xo
