Hi Malgosia - thank you for inviting me to be your friend, and of course I would be delighted. KAS has brought untold friendship and dedication to the cause, and as Sandy's Mum great pride, as u can imagine. I look forward to hearing all about your part of the world, and knitting news. Thank you for your comments about my knitting efforts!!! I really love it and am seldom without those "clacking" needles or crochet hook!!! I play lawn bowls and knit when travelling to other clubs, when watching friends play, in meetings!!!!! So my tally is no big deal really! Love knitting the square vests and jumpers, hats and all. Lovely to meet yoou - Zanny Blew
Dear Malgosia: Thank you for the friend invite. How is everything in your corner of the world? Saw my first hummingbird for the season just about half an hour ago so while the temperatures are chilly (+4 C) every early morning, this sighting makes it bearable. Means I'll be busy making batches of nectar which is cooking I don't mind doing!! My afternoon plans are to cross-stitch a teddy bear fairy onto a plain square that I have crocheted for this cause and perhaps crochet a square or two more. Also, there is heavy-duty reading that needs to be done. Hope your day is going well. Many Blessings!! Sincerely, Cathy -- from PEI: Canada's smalles Province, Home to "Anne of Green Gables", and Birthplace of Canada (Charlottetown Conference 1864).
both my parents were born and raised in England, in Southampton. A lot of my family still lives there too. this forum is going to be great fun, thanks for joining us!
Hello Malgosia, thank you that I can be your friend! I live in Apeldoorn in the Netherlands.
I started knitting in de first week of April, was years ago that I did it, I was not really a knitter but this is so nice to do. Knowing that people all over the world are doing the same thing, great!

Hi Malgosia, it's great isn't it? Thanks for "befriending" me! It's amazing how much knit-a-square has spread around the world in such a short time. Lovely to meet you anyway, I'm sure we'll have lots of chats in the future. I'm in Melbourne, Australia and Sandy McDonald the creator of knit-a-square is my mum!
