Hi Mandy,
I have answered your discussion thread but in case it gets buried I'll put it again here:
If you scroll down the Forum categories you will see a blue heading Challenges. The Countdown Challenge is under that and there is a spreadsheet so that you can see your own entry which at the moment says 'Mandy Covington 17 squares' .
Rona would appreciate if you would enter your new total ' I am sending xx squares today so my new total will be 17 + xx' and she will add it to the spreadsheet.
(And if you could, add them to the 2010 Tally [on page 2 of Forum Categories] which is the whole year count - a copy and paste job, and UK Group 2010 Tally, similar.
Glad you're still with us - the numbers are going up steadily.
We run a challenge each month. For the next three months it is all about squares. We have a grand total of 55,900 squares we are trying to achieve and would love you to participate.
Don't forget to post photographs of your work. We have an awesome gallery of the work of the KAS community which is really inspiring.
Some of our members further support KAS by making a small monthly donation through Paypal (top left hand corner). This is invaluable help as it ensures we can continue to ensure that your work is speedily distributed to the most needy children in South Africa. We are deeply grateful for any donation we receive, be it monetary or squares to help the orphans. Thank you.

Hi Mandy
I love your squares - all of them and thank you for putting up the pattern for the heart squares. Apparently the children understand that hearts mean love and appreciate them for that reason.
I am surprised that I have so enjoyed embellishing the squares. I have never done any embroidery or applique and usually just knit stuff into my squares. I didn't think I would have the patience to sew and I don't actually have the materials at the moment but I think I may be buying some. I thought for boys cars, vans, (bikes if I can draw one), boats, trains, planes, animals -I've just finished a pig under a button tree, maybe a monkey, snakes perhaps. I don't think I am going to have time to knit. Anyway, thank you for the inspiration.
