The Moderator Group have come up with a list of the monthly challenges for the rest of 2012. The list is an update on Sandy's earlier post now in Closed Discussions (http://forum.knit-a-square.com/forum/topics/challenges-for-2012).
In addition to the regular monthly challenges we have added an extra Red & White Hats Galore - Wish List Challenge which will continue until we have reached the target of 600 red & white hats! Curro Aurora School Challenge (March 2012) update : half of the recently arrived Jigsaw Clothes Shop consignment is being sewn into blankets by teams of ladies in the Gauteng area. This is an attempt to create the worlds biggest hand-woven blanket to coincide with Mandela Day on July 14th. Once the event is over, the blankets will be returned and immediately distributed. We'll report back when we have more news.
JULY - Pam is focusing on Japan, but the challenge can also cover the other countries in the Orient.
AUGUST - Bev is working - Africa Animals & Designs
SEPTEMBER - Anne has agreed to take on South America and Carnival.
OCTOBER - Gitta developing - All About Christmas, so that the Christmassy squares arrive in time for the end of the year.
NOVEMBER - Mary will be doing "In Celebration of the Plain Jane Square"
DECEMBER - has been designated Stash Buster, UFO's (Unfinished Objects).
Mary's April & Anne's May Challenges have provided some very creative and imaginative squares which will prove fascinating for the children. Gitta's June Challenge is already providing more unique squares. We look forward to seeing even more as the year progresses!
